EXCELLENT ADVICE FOR GRADE 1, 2 AND 3 PLAYERS

Sorry to email everyone on this -- I don't know which email addresses belong to the Grade 1 and Grade 2 Team BC Player's families.

One of the most surprising things that the Grade 1, 2, and 3 players will experience at the CCC is that they will not start with a clock on them.  If their game goes long, a clock with 10 mins + 5 sec delay (need to check on this, but I'm pretty sure from previous years), will be put on them.  My advice to our Grade 1, 2, and 3 players is DON'T PANIC.  10 mins + 5 sec delay is actually a long time.

Parents:  You can practice this at home.  Start playing a game with your child and after about 30-40 mins without a clock, put on a clock with 10 mins + 5 sec delay, so that your child can practice and adjust his game accordingly.
